Yeah right regardless. I dont give a damn if its an official suspension or what. The rule said out 6 games, Hardy doesn't play for 6 he should be back on the field regardless of his trial. He already served his games

Management was forced to act by sponsors and the NFL. They gave Greg the options available and let him choose what course he wanted to take. They stood behind him all the way.

Because they did have other options.  NFLPA wouldn't allow a suspension.  NFL could never get away with it.  

 

This is what Goodell wanted.  JR and Goodell are close and the decision obviously came down from JR.

Not true. The NFL has suspended guys without trials, etc. before. And the appeal might have taken just as long as waiting for his court date.

Already getting paid 13.1 million, so hey yea why not sit out, especially if he's coming back to a team not in playoff contention.  The entire debacle has been a gigantic headache.

NFLPA wouldn't fight it if they had punished Hardy when the July court date ended.  If they waited until September to suspend just because a video of a different player made the media upset, you can bet your ass the NFLPA would not stand for it.  They would appeal and he would be able to play until the appeal was done.

Hardy should be back by the Seattle game. Anything later then that is asinine. Especially if his trial gets pushed back to 2015. I'm not saying what he did wasn't wrong because it definitely was. But come on, it's

not like the guy committed murder or facing felony charges. Honestly he should still be playing right now but the media made us their bi***.... and the team FO folded under pressure.

The NFL wasn't even thinking about the Hardy situation until the mess with Ray Rice happen. You can say what you want, but they both are two different situations that should be handled differently. One of them has hard evidence and the other has he say she say as evidence.

I'm guessing those who have been tried and convicted?  But at this point, who knows?

 

I just think that with all the BS going on, if you sit Hardy for 6 games and play him BEFORE he goes to trial, another sh*t storm is going to happen.  The media wants blood and 6 games isn't enough.  The NFL has shown it's going to protect itself by any means necessary, Hardy's not playing again until after his trial.  If they were going to go with the 6 game suspension, don't you think they would have announced it by now?????
