I've avoided this thread like a plague for the past 4 days. I started watching the show on Netflix Saturday night...and I watched basically the whole first season in 3 nights. Two more episodes left in season 1 for me, and I have to say the show surprised me. Started off a bit meh, IMO. But once you get through about 6 or 7 episodes, it picks up and has been amazing. Really hoping Hulu doesn't take down the episodes I've missed from season 2 before I finish up season 1.

I remember last year the writers saying they were going to be a couple of "fake" jokers before they actually reveal the real one.and I think thats what Jerome was meant to be but I would not be surprised if they change that becasue of how well liked he seems to be with fans.

In my opinion Jerome won't be back. He has too much back story to be the Joker. That's what makes the Joker so terrifying.

I like to think of Gotham as Detective Comics brought to tv. I know they keep mentioning Batman will not show up but I could see him showing up but rarely

If this goes beyond 4 or 5 seasons, it wouldn't surprise me to see a time jump to Bruce becoming Batman. Or at least have that start to go in motion. Depending how Dawn of Justice is received, it could happen.

There's no feasible way Jerome comes back. The time line isn't right. 

 

As far as Barbara goes, she's probably the weakest character of the whole bunch. Besides being a psycho bitch, she doesn't bring much to the table.

Jerome was never going to be the joker. He was the man who inspired the Joker as seen in all those cut aways after he got stabbed. Although I do believe he could have made a great Joker, his story is more than likely over, which is sad because the kid playing him really stole the show.

This show is way better now than last year, way better, by a larg margin.  It's still not as good as CW's shows but it's watchable and interesting for the most part, which wasn't happening most of last year (thankfully Fish is gone).   I really will miss Jerome but maybe we'll get some more copy cats or something.  

I really wouldn't mind a timejump at the end of the season.  Maybe show Gordon still cleaning up the streets 5 years later and Bruce an adult, etc.   It's going to get WAY to coincidence if each season Bruce is somehow involved in the main storyline with a villain.

I think it's right on the same level as Arrow currently is...season one and two were good but I hated season three this season is alright so far.

The flash is probably my favorite comic show on TV

Flash and Agents of Shield are probably tops right now.  Shield was rough the first half of the first season but since that it's been great, once the tie in to Winter Soldier dropped that is.

Gotham has gotten so good...the character development is fluid. That's what I love about this series. Even the new characters are interesting.
