Horton is in for his run defense, while Addison is just a speed rusher. Frank will be better than both but Johnson needs to pull it together too or none of it will matter.

Not that I have heard. He had hamstring issues in camp but that should be fixed by now.

He was largely invisible in Tampa as well, which goes against the Hardy was drawing all the attention argument.

It's possible then that not only will Hardy not be here next year, but we also might let CJ go as a cap casualty.  I think we definitely need to put in a trade for Quinton Couples.  Give the Jets a 4th round pick straight up for him, and see how he does because we are going to need replacements for these guys moving forward.

Alexander is the most rounded IMO.. Addison is second, he is great on the pass rush and pursuit. Horton has the ability for sure, but I think those 2 are above. Hardy is a perfect fit on this defense for those who thought we should just get rid of this guy.. brings the energy to have a nasty feel to our defense. Davis and Johnson are as well

I think Alexander is more stout at the point of attack and thus better against the run.  As for helping Johnson, he will benefit most by the DTs getting pressure to the point that the is singled all day and for the linebackers to provide more coverage to the dump off man  on screens for example and the secondary to actually cover their man.  It works together and right now it isn't working but it isn't just one area.
