Positives from yesterdays game

Just trying to brighten up another bleak ( weather and Panther wise ) Monday.

K Benjamin continues to impress me. What were your game positives?

Seriously the fact that we only gave up a game to the Bucs in the standings is a huge positive. I feel like it was just another game this team can learn from and hopefully make some changes without really losing much else. Sure it's a missed opportunity but this team isn't as good as many think, DG and company need to wake up. Can't keep going forward with this OL.

Another would be Cam's pocket passing. Cam is as good as anyone when given the appropriate amount of time. His throw to Cotchery along the sidelines was perfect.

the passing game looks very promising. blocking just needs to be more consistent and it needs to be utlized more and they need to speed up the pace to help them get into more of a rhythm and make it harder for defenses to adjust.

i think that will also open up the run game as well. spread out and stress the defense through the air and they won't be stacking the box.

    • Well said.  we usually develop our opinions based on the websites we frequent, highlight reels, discussion boards, and NFL Network.  In that process, we call ourselves "informed," but we really are not.  Unfortunately, neither are the experts.  It still blows my mind that first rounders have successful careers 53% of the time, and second rounders are about half of that. So as hard as we (and they) pound the table for this player or that player, it is a crap shoot in the first round and in the second, it is worse than the odds playing craps in Vegas.  And they (the experts) have combines and pro days and interviews etc.  and they still suck at it. All that to say, I am wrong as much as the GMs are-that should make me feel good, but it does not.  You have to recall who you pounded the table for in the drafts four or five years ago and see where they are now. Acting like I know and they do not is stupid, so I hope that they see what I cannot.  I think the best chance of hitting a home run in round 1:  Jeanty.
    • I think i would be happy with 7 wins personally, at least I would know we going in the right direction
