Grammar Nazi gets mildly irritating, but I don't care

 

I completely agree with the pointless threads though. Put the hammer on those, I'm all for that. For what it's worth, only other thing that annoys me is the "I'm smart, you are stupid" replies some get for daring to have an opinion. I'm talking about those that go on some cryptic passive aggressive diatribe cuz you dared to have a different opinion. It's a football forum, get over yourself lol

iv'e made less than 50 posts, and have already blocked 4 huddlers. i checked the huddle on my lunch break at work, and realized that my phone app doesn't block people that iv'e blocked from my laptop, and the huddlers iv'e blocked were still quoting and berating me, even after i told them they were blocked. 

 

yesterday in particular, i was quoted and berated constantly, and even a poster in this topic "I Mean He Was Found Guilty. " chimed in, quoting me and telling the other huddlers trolling me (that i had already blocked), that i was "obviously the same damn person" as someone he claims had an "abandoned account"....i know none of those people, and i had absolutely no clue as to what they were referring to, or why in GOD's name they would single me out and insult me to such an extent and in the disgustingly childish manner that they did it. it was truly pathetic, and they even goated me to bite back, though i tried my best to stay on topic. it was very clear their intent had nothing to do with the topic but only with insulting a "NEWB".

 

with huddlers like "I Mean He Was Found Guilty. ", "Shula", and "heel31ok" trolling NEWBs, i can imagine that many new huddlers with interesting views are run off to find other forums to post on, or just simply continue to lurk so that they don't have to deal with the kind of immature BS that i/others have to endure for having an opinion or simply just wanting to express our love for the Panthers.

I would like to say this. If folks took a few moments to proofread there posts. It would go a long way towards ending those annoying grammar police posts.

I know...phones, fat fingers, auto-correct are all legitimate excuses. But, taking a few seconds to reread a post could help alleviate the problem.

When my dad told me to cool it...I had enough brains to, you know, actually cool it.

Simple sequence:

Authority says "Don't do this or you'll be punished."

Person spoken to does 'this'.

Person gets punished.

that came across as whiny when i re-read it, wasn't my intent.

 

language doesn't bother me, i'm a bit salty most of the time, and they didn't bother me once blocked, just getting it out since its on topic and its still fresh on my mind.

 

that huddlers name was "I Mean He Was Found Guilty". the "View it anyway?" was because i copied it from my notifications wrong, sorry huddle....i'm still a NEWB :s

But that's never going to happen tho

 

I don't care either way, I just want consistency. Lots of stuff flies through the week. Then on gameday the main forum is a collection of locked threads.

The Huddle has reached its tolerance capacity for snarky responses and personal insults. There are several people in this joint that provide no real value as a huddler, haven't produced a decent thread in years, but quick to belittle others.

Personal attacks will result in a banning, and I don't care who you are. If you find yourself just replying with a two word snarky response or an attack.... you should think twice.

Time to get this place back on track. Plenty to discuss in a civil manner.
