Here's my advice. Follow these steps in this order.

1. Have thicker skin. No matter what someone says to you, it's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of life.

2. If someone has really upset your delicate sensibilities to stir you into a frenzy, use the "report post" button. We can't ever see all posts, all the time.

3. Worry about you. Don't worry about someone else "who shoulda been bant a long time ago". Don't be a troll, don't feed a troll, won't be a troll.

Also if you have issues with your account, like user titles, password resets, etc. Pm me. I do this menial crap every day for people. I don't mind.

Good advice but Zod never mentioned about having "thicker skin" in his original post. I understand you can't see all the post all the time but there is enought of you guys to check more often. According to Zod, any personal attacks will not be tolerated, so I guess there is no reason for me to worry about me or really upset my delicate sensibilities. You guys need to get on the same page as the owner of this site, you clearly are not.

Use the report button and it makes it much easier for us to separate the mindless bickering from the personal attacks. They won't be tolerated.

But on the other hand, I see a lot of reports on posts where people were just impolite in disagreeing. That's where you just have to let things go and worry about yourself.

Survival of the fittest or just those that like to bicker and insult 24 hours a day stay and those that want legitimate non reactionary discussion get bored and leave?

Considering this is a pretty active website most people seem to stay.

To me the highly sanitized over moderated forums are way more boring than the Huddle

this place is largely self-policing and it creates a unique culture that hungrily consumes and rewards good content while excoriating bad content. i have several theories as to why, but they are all secondary to the fact that moderation here is light-handed, strategic, and effective at maintaining the singularly best football forum on the web. there's a reason i'm willing to sacrifice one beer a month for it
