I will say that the  Falcons be feeling the worst out of all three teams. They went down to a team that was so desperate after their starting QB went down that they gave the ball over to their Rookie QB who started his first game TODAY!!! And the Vikings put up 41 points over the Falcons. 

 

You also forgot, the back up replaced the back up as well, and they still scored some more points to preserve their big lead.

If any fanbase should feel bad today it should be the Falcons fans first, and they should be very embarrassed because their team lost to a team that had to go to their third QB; then the Saints fans. Supposedly the Cowboys had the worst defense in the league. Either that's a lie or Brees and the Saints offense didn't get the memo.

 

The Panthers fans just need to stop settling with the same tired excuse for the reason why they same parts of their team haven't stepped up.  The believing that the team don't need to focus as much attention on the Offense because Cam has so much talent that he can help make up for the weaknesses is pure foolish. Fix the darn team and stop being your own worst enemy.

I think it's the coaching and play calling that instills confidence in the players to play above their heads, even for a game or two. But the coaches have to make you believe.

 

Why couldn't the Panthers have a Cinderella story yesterday? Cause, Shula has no idea what he's doing on the field, apparently.

 

Plus, look at all the penalties and mistakes the Panthers have made the past few weeks, helping the team blow games?

I see these players like Employees, in which they are. When they have a boss or a coach who doesn't quite seem to know what he's doing and they're going out into the trenches and getting embarrassed That is a self-esteem killer and also, that is how a coach loses a team. 

 

The coaches on this team need to be tough but also flexible. If the plays in the playbook aren't working then throw them out and make necessary adjustments.  I thought I saw that last season when the team was down during the half in some of the games. But since Cam got injured, it appeared those changes were simply using Cam to do more. They weren't real adjustment changes. 

 

IMO, Cam's not being 100 is going to expose this team big time. I hope they fix those problems and let the kid be a QB.

So now that he can't run (regardless that he's throwing brilliantly), the OL and lack of instinctive and inventive situational play calling can't help them.

 

Not that I care to hear the national media now, and I don't. But let's see, if Cam will finally get the credit for the effect he's had on the Panther offense, or will his effect/he will be ignored until he has his first bad game?

As a matter of fact, after yesterday's game, the announcers on NFLN kept acting like it was Cam and not the defense that helped Smitty look good.

 

When the media puts pressure on a team to play better and help their QB, u watch how quickly that team turn around. When the media is always putting the spotlight and pressure on the QB, teams like the Panthers, believe that all is well and continue to play that way, which is exactly what those in the media want.
