HOW BOUT THEM HORNETS?!?!?!

Presale of single game tickets started today. However, you can only order them if you have a password given to you by the team. It looks like they're only allowing high end season ticket holders to preorder single ticket games, mainly opening night & games against Cleveland, Miami, LA, NY, etc.

It's just another money grab. They're only letting STH buy those tix, which means they will sale them at 500% plus face value online, thus making people more likely to just buy a 6 game plan from the team.

Very greedy & very frustrating.

The Hornets allowed STH to buy blocks of 25, 50, or 100 tickets to opening night about two months ago. Today we got an email, like you mentioned, with an option to buy more. I picked up four more today and when I did I looked at the seat map and there were only a few remaining. So I'm sure as of now they're all gone.

I don't see anything wrong with the Hornets using key games in packages to sell more ticket. I mean, they are in the business of selling tickets. People who will pony up to support the team for a minimum of six games should have the first crack at the best games. If you (or anyone) can't commit to six games then why do you get to come to what's going to be the most special game in team history thus far?

I know the ticket pricing is frustrating, but this is team that has finished in the red the last few year's if i'm not mistaken.  It's all economics.  Add in that we figure to be a pretty good ball club this year.  You think ticket prices are bad, try being a Cavaliers fan, I can only imagine what those tickets are going for.

I really hope that things go well this upcoming season.  I really want the atmosphere of the Charlotte Coliseum to come to TWA.  We kept the Coliseum rocking for a long time and I think we as a fan base can get back to that.  No matter what I can't wait to see our team tear it up on opening night!

It'll never be the Hive. Back in '88 the Hornets were the only ticket in a small city. Now Charlotte has grown exponentially, the Panthers are in town along with all sorts of other things. Not to mention the bandwagon mentality where Kobe, Melo, LeBron, etc fanboys will overtake the arena. MJ was a NC product & even he didn't overtake the Hive. If he played today 95% of TWC would be wearing red.

TWC can get loud & crazy, such as the playoff series vs Orlando, but it's not gonna be the same on a nightly basis.

That said, opening night is gonna be crazy. Place will be rocking & shaking. Poor Bucks are gonna get obliterated when the team feeds off the crowds energy.

I will never be what it was in 88 for sure.  But what it will be, what it should be, is a 300% atmosphere upgrade from the Bobcats era.  And I'll take that all day.

That won't be very hard. There's more excitement around a Hugo citing in town than any Bobcats game ever had.
