Anderson is a better option than Cam right now

Dude ur an idiot... Cam is not 100% right now I don't give a poo if he's white black or red... It is what it is.... Don't throw the race card makes You look like a moron... Move on

All I read was "I want *insert white QB's name here* to start".

That's basically what this garbage boils down to for people like the OP.

Said it last week after the Steelers game...Cam shouldn't play until he's ready to run the option. Our running game sucks. It's absolutely atrocious behind that line. The only reason it was effective the last two years was due to the element that Cam adds. If defenses don't have to account for his ability to take it for 15-20 yards on a given play then the running game is done and there is no point in Cam playing. Play 100% of the playbook or don't play.

I don't understand this. It's not like Anderson can run the option. He's not going to do anything whatsoever to boost the running game, so we'd still not be using 100% (all three pages!!) of our playbook with him in. All we'd be effectively doing is telling him "The line sucks and we don't want Cam hurt more. Good luck." and calling the season a wrap.

I don't think anyone is suggesting trading Cam or even sitting him more than a few games to get closer to 100%. He is by far the best option this team has. But he's obviously hurt. I wouldn't put a boxer in the ring if he couldn't lift his left arm, even if his right jab/hook is the best in the business.

This isn't about DA being better than Cam - that's ridiculous. This is about Cam not being healthy enough to play behind this oline.

Here is an FYI, fix your O-line. How about that reality.

Cam isn't a damn boxer. He's a QB. U remember them. Those are pretty boys who no one was allowed to get to BECAUSE THE O-LINE PROTECTED THEM. Remember how that works in football?

There is a reason why only white players were QBs. Because that position was seen as the leadership role and those around them were the workers. THEIR JOB WAS TO SIT IN THE POCKET AND LEAD THEIR TEAM DOWN THE FIELD. They were not suppose to be runners. That was the job of the Receivers. Cam is suppose to sit behind a team of men who can protect him. This is season 4 and u fans r  forever finding ways to making excuses for this team's issues while pissing on your QB.

What u're going to sit Cam for Anderson behind the same O-line? Then when he gets injured..What? u're going to cry for Webb to come in and let both Anderson and Cam sit? Then when Webb gets hurt what is the team going to do?

Only fans with no real answers to their team's struggles turn to what they know some want to hear.

You're worried about him being a victim of the David Carr effect.

No, I don't think Cam would lose his confidence or get happy feet in the future. Which is a big part of the real concern.

I'm more worried about him sustaining a long term injury sitting in the pocket, because he's not afraid of the bullets flying at him. And with this oline, they're firing AKs and uzi's - fast and furious.

Then send him out with the ball and hope and pray he doesn't go down..YUP!!! u just summed up the mentally of some of the Panthers' fans.

Clueless in North Carolina should be the name of the next HBO special when they pick this team to follow.

Amazing!!!

Some of you are so darn in denial about this team, u will destroy every good player, then wonder why ur team isn't being taken seriously in the NFL.

Dude, is something wrong with you? The oline is what it is at this point in the season. If DG can bring in a better oline, then yes, let Cam play. But that's a highly unlikely option at this point.

I won't comment on the rest of your post. But, I agree with you on the issue of the oline being the problem with the offense.

My point is, Cam needs to be able to run to play behind this oline - even as a passer. He's been doing it for 3 seasons. He can't do it right now. I don't want the kid to get banged up every game because he can't move well enough to escape pressure. These hits add up and if he keeps hobbling around trying to stay in the pocket against Chicago, the Bengals, the Packers and Seattle, then we may be looking at our franchise QB on IR half way through the season.

Not blaming today's lose on Cam. Never did. Not trying to use some sort of twisted psychology, I just don't think he was the reason the team lost today or last week for that matter. He played great especially considering the circumstances.

Yes, you sit the injured player because he can't run/protect himself behind this oline when they go full retard and allow 3 of 4 pass rushers to hit him within 2 seconds.

I don't even know what you're trying to say in your third paragraph, but I don't think sitting Cam would kill his self esteem - when you're sitting him so he can come back closer to 100%, because right now he isn't even close to it.

I am no football expert, but I would much prefer if you sit some of those in the O-line and kill their self-esteem than sit your QB for the rational u're giving.

Yes Cam, we're benching u because our O-line, RB, and much of the Receiving team suck and we don't want u to get even more hurt. We want u to get healed back to at least 95% so when u come back u can go back to getting more yardage than them.

Man, u are killing me with laughter...Please stop it.

You are really a piece of work. And you don't need to be a football expert to have common sense.

So you would rather see Cam knocked down to 50% half way through the season?

Let me let you in on a secret. Football hits are cumulative. You don't completely heal every week when you take a beating. You have new hurts and pains to go along with the ones you had before. Not gonna elaborate on that, just gonna leave it there for you.

That is what u folks said last season. All we did was watch Cam scramble for yardages with the same pathetic O-line.

Question...WHEN ARE U GOING TO START A THREAD DEMANDING THAT THIS TEAM FIXES IT'S REAL ISSUES?

All I keep seeing are endless asinine threads about how to fix Cam. As if he's this team's problem.

Bench the OL and put Cam behind their backups? And all so we can 'kill their self-esteem'?

What's gonna get killed by doing that is our quarterback.

No...I would rather u fix your O-line than bench the QB who is doing more for this team, even while not 100%.

Let me let u in on a little secret, preserve your QB by demanding more from those around him instead of looking for ways to get rid of him. Only Panthers fans would want to bench their QB because of the issues with the rest of their team. That has got to be the dumbest isn I have ever heard.
