Anderson is a better option than Cam right now

Can't believe I'm reading this absolute crap.  Cam has been playing GREAT as a passer this season.  He's been accurate, reading defenses, completing passes, and all this DESPITE injury, a horrible offensive line, terrible running backs, and a defense that can't stop anyone the last two games.  This front office and coaching staff has let him down terribly.

I've had the exact same ankle surgery Cam had and I think by the same doctor too. It's a testament to Cam's genes that he's playing this season. What Cam is feeling right now is, at best, tenderness in that ankle. It's hard to describe how your ankle feels with that foreign body in it. It affects how your entire part of your foot feels around there. 

 

That surgery is not something that a few weeks off would help. The only thing that would TRULY help would be to put Cam on IR and throw an entire season of football away as we all get one year older. It will also be more prone to sprains for the rest of Cam's life. I once sprained my same ankle 3 times in 3 months just last year. You'll be walking along and it can just roll under you. It's so freaky and painful.

I don't think so. Cam has been pretty great about not throwing INTs despite his Oline letting him get raped. He has performed well given the circumstances.

The only reason i see to sit him is to let him heal from the beatings he has took like you mentioned.

Given the horrible playcalling, non-existent run game and terrible OLine play I actually think Cam played phenomenal. He made a minimal amount of mistakes and bailed the team out of bad down and distance situations multiple times. I can't think of any play where he made a blatantly terrible decision or really bad throw that cost us. Given the fact that he's  banged up makes his play even more impressive.

It has gotten to the point where it really is a waste of time to try and explain things to folks anymore. They have these goofy thoughts, like sitting Cam, and you cannot sway them.

It is the same after every loss. Emotional over-reactions lead to goofy azz comments. No one has any patience anymore. They deserve it now, and by God you had better give it to them.

You can't blame everything on Madden. Some blame has to go to just not caring enough to learn the game. Have interwebz, and there is no need for knowledge.

 

No, I disagree. I have played this game at a very high level and I understand the implications of sitting your starting QB. 

 

I don't know what the right move might be, but it's hard watching that young man back there, obviously hurt - maybe even a little injured, not able to protect himself while this oline allows 3 of 4 pass rushers into the backfield in less than 2 seconds. 

 

If Cam was healthy - no brainer. He has to play with the cards DG dealt him. But, Cam is trying to extend plays in ways he just can't right now. And if anyone that has watched the past 3 games, can not see Cam is not himself, then you haven't been watching the past 3 years. He is a dynamic runner and one of the most elusive players in the league when healthy. Right now, DA looks just as elusive as Cam. And that can get this kid hurt.

I would hate to have to make that decision. I don't think the season is lost yet, it's way too early. But, I would hate for Cam to have a season like RG3 did last year because he couldn't protect himself.

Protecting him is the only possible justification you could use for sitting him at this point. But as mentioned, doing so acknowledges acceptance that you're punting on the season.

I'd still have to be talked into that.
