Anderson is a better option than Cam right now

To anyone coming at this from a "I'm afraid Newton is going to get broken in half, we need to protect the long term investment" angle, I get you. I disagree, but I understand where you're coming from. You're getting lumped in with the folks who are hoping Anderson comes in and takes the job, which isn't really fair. We cool.

Anyone coming from the "Anderson is better" angle, I don't know what you're actually watching and am pretty sure most of you are seizing what you see as an opportunity to get rid of/bench Cam. Or trolling. You're never going to get that NCAA season back where $CAM broke your team in half. Sorry! Just speaking of performance, he's been very good as a pocket passer this year. His accuracy is great, he's yet to throw an INT, he's showing a nice mix of howitzers and touch balls and he's doing it with less of a run game and defense than Anderson had when he lucked out on a win in Tampa. You know it. Hell the media knows it, which is saying something. Prove that Anderson is a better player or stop wasting time on troll posts/threads.

I'm out of pie already (though I'll try to find one to tack back for you/your post).

But I just wanted to tell you, what a well written, informative,  inventive, and diplomatic post you wrote! :thumbsu:

No you give no credit to the mentality of a football player and competitor.

A leader doesn't put his needs over the needs of the team. And this team needs Cam on the field.

the team needs him on the field long term and that is the ultimate in putting team needs over individual.

A leaders need is to be there for his team to win the war not just a battle here and there. It is not selfish to preserve yourself for the future and success of the team.

Dude he is in the top 15 of the league at getting the ball out this year. So that info is wrong.

He is the best option at QB no matter what you some think and sitting him would be a outright sign that you gave up on the year.

first off it was said during the giants/skins game that eli manning had the 2nd worst completion percentage against pressure behind guess who?

2nd, when did i say cam isn't the best qb option?  you are clearly approaching this topic with too much emotion to take anything into account that doesn't involve your own POV.  therefore it is a lesson in futility to try and have any sort of logical conversation with you.

Tiger plays for himself.

Cam plays for the other 52 players in that locker room.

Easy differences to see.

not the point at all. Tiger pushed through the injury because he was playing well in spite of it and in the end it hurt him worse. you are hung up on a non issue. Long term injury is the issue.

The team needs him for both. And as a leader you can't let if's and maybe's effect your decision to lead.

Is it a fact that Cam will injury himself more if he keeps playing???

No.

So he has to lead optimistically. He has to lead thinking that he can overcome and this team can do the same thing.

He can't lead a team thinking about himself 1st.

well ,yes, he is ambulatory but that is neither here nor there.

I do not share your confidence   of not being in danger.

Um...no...Cam is no where near being ambulatory. I am not sure how you can even say he is? I think you are just saying things to keep this going.

Then by all means continue to fret/worry. Obviously you have no faith in the medical staff.

He has been cleared to play. It really is that simple.

I will add. He has played 3 games. He hasn't been carted off the field yet. He has played great. He is still alive and kicking. What more do you want?

I agree with you 100%, but I've been telling my buddies since game 2, that Cam needs to sit out for a couple of weeks and heal up, and let DA start in place of him.

Cam is good. But Cam is just to hurt right now to play high level football. But DA is a solid back up. But Cam will always be starter. DA only can so much.

Tiger again was playing for himself. If he would have shut it down due to his injuries no one would question him as a leader. Cam has 52 guys depending on him and until his play effects the team negatively then he has to be out there for them.

I didn't see the medical staff blocking for him.

But ok I will defer to you and ignore the obvious and hope it all goes well.

it doesn't matter who he was playing for , he injured himself longterm.

You just want Cam sat down. You have nothing to add except you are afraid he will get hurt. Your unwillingness to accept that Cam HAS been cleared medically to play is just getting old.

What does "Ignore the Obvious" even mean? I know you are reaching to make your weak point valid.

Worry and fret all you want. It is obvious that is what you want. Sit Cam because he MAY get hurt. Never mind that he may get hurt at any time. But because he is DINGED up, he is much to fragile to allow to play. LOL

I am done.

did you not see that horrible missed t.d pass to reeves by anderson , come on dude dont blame anything on cam hes doing all he can with no oline, i noticed these are our weaknesses  , 1. a good dline,2. a pass first offense , 3 a speed runningback .

we would do better vs a team like seattle that runs the ball compared to a team like the broncos

    • I forgot about Jackson...definitely elite.  The sad part of your list is that 2 of them were 'there for the taking for the Panthers'.  Rumor has it that Hurney loved Herbert and was vetoed on trying to trade up.  And rumor has it that Frank & McCown wanted Stroud.  I believe both rumors.
    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
