Still so many butthurt former Steve Smith fans, many of whom are probably pissed they can't wear the 89 jerseys hanging in their closets. Or maybe they do and just hope nobody from the Huddle sees them in public.

Get over it people. He did his job here for 13 years; it was his dream job and he got fired. None of you have been pissed at your former employer after you got fired from your dream job, have you?

Because a reporter looking for clicks said so?

It is COMPLETELY believable that he said that. When was the last time Steve Smith said something positive about Cam? Said it was nice to finally have a quarterback who was calm in the huddle. Made sure to shoutout Jake Delhomme when talking about the best QB he ever played with. And now this.

Do I have a hard time believing that a guy that has literally physically assaulted MULTIPLE teammates in the past, cursed out the Panthers on national TV, has called out current teammates publicly in the past would say something like that about Cam? Not at all.

Broke arm holding on TD

Led team to Super Bowl

Gave us the last triple crown title

Wants to retire panther.

Your salty bro, get lost

Sent from my iPhone using CarolinaHuddle

Sucker punched 3 teammates

Refused a paycut when he was overpaid & asked to be traded numerous times

Belittled, cursed, & trashed every young WR Carolina ever tried pairing with him

"It isn't my job to teach WRs." -Steve Smith

Was it?  Everything I read afterwards was about how cancerous he was to the other WR's on the team.  Never knew that before this spring.  Ever wonder why we never had another WR develop with him around???  Hmmm??

I didn't know he was getting paid to teach those who are also getting paid to catch footballs. LOL....

It's quotes like this that make we wish one person could give a comment an entire pie all by himself...

Did Cam cut him or did Gettleman?

Who said it was his responsibility?  I surely didn't.  Doesn't mean he wasn't a CANCER to them while Proehl was trying to teach them.

Duh.  (and your LOL just makes you look dumb)

Smitty gave Benjamin his number and told him to call him. He will let him know what is in store for him with the Carolina Panthers for the next 13 seasons.

I am sure Smitty wishes he could have had a receiver like Benjamin opposite him for the past 13 seasons.

It'd be hilarious if Smitty became a great mentor for KB being that Gettleman got rid of him because he didn't want him around in the locker room anymore.

Anybody who doesn't think smitty was treating the panthers like a country club for the last 3 or 4 years isn't paying attention.

His improvement is only a testament to this.

Anyone who waits until the man has left the building he owned for 13 years then begins talking about him as though he's the scum of the earth obviously hasn't paid attention for those 13 years.

It was all well and good while he was here, but now he's doing it elsewhere and Panther fans become indignant.
