wtf??? "smitty showed you mother fugers"..."i hope the ravens win the super bowl! panthers sure arent gonnna win one this year" ........what the fuqin hell??? IT'S WEEK 4 for ffs!!

how bout we split the huddle up between real panther fans, and people who want to taunt real panther fans with useless, counter productive fanfare for a player thats on another team in a another division...would save me an aneurysm reading through another day of this utter crap!!

"aww, steve smith didnt try to punk KB down or gloat after the game, he is the most awesome ever, will be cheering all year for him", "he looked as young as ever today!"...wtfuqing fug??

seriously, its not my intent to offend any posters individually, and blast me if you must, but im just completely baffled about most of what  im reading.

gotta keep pounding...just gotta. go panthers.

Happy for Smitty. Hope they continue to play well.

He deserves a special place in Panthers fan's hearts, but time to move on. Didn't doubt for a second that he would ball out against us. Just wish we could have played bettet

Why aren't you still insulting him like the other thread? :(

Not sure if anyone heard Smitty's post game presser (I was in Baltimore, and it's what was on the radio), but I heard two things that were interesting:

First, Smith was heaping praise on Ricky Proehl. He was answering every question with a terse one or two sentence reply, but then the question came up with who Smitty was looking for on the Panthers sideline after the game, and he replied, "Coach Proehl" and proceeded to talk about what a great influence Ricky was as a player and a person for like 3 minutes. I thought that was interesting. We're lucky to have him as a WR coach.

On why he didn't seem to be very in the defenders' faces, or picking fights: "The didn't do anything to deserve trash talk." He just said they played a fair game. He didn't shake hands at the coin toss because once the game starts there's no friendship, just business. But he had no ill will, and no acrimony for the Panthers.

But it seems like all we hear today is the "Schoolyard kids" quote. I guess that's more in line with the narrative that Smith hates the Panthers now and so on. Give it a listen if you can find it, because it's much more enlightening than what's being reported.

+1.  Anyone who has watched Panthers game every week would know how many games we won that we had no business winning largely because of the efforts of 89 and sometimes, arguably, solely his efforts alone saved the games.
