Are we going to completely ignore that Kuechly hasn't been playing well?

My opinion is this if you don't like someones comment or opinion don't reply dude.

Oh the irony

My 'favorite players' are in my sig.  Sadly, as a unit they're playing terribly right now.

I doubt you remember watching Ray Lewis in the years between Tony Siragusa and Haloti Ngata.  I do, and I remember the difference it made.

Defense is a team effort.  Luke is the best player on that defense right now, but again, he's not perfect.  And the unit as a whole is not playing well.

If you think that means Luke didn't earn his DROY and DPOY awards, you've got no clue.

One of these years someone needs to make me a d-line sig like your o-line sig, since you're the yin to my d-line yang.

Sad to say this is probably not the best year for that :(

this is not the year for us line fans, no....the thing about Star in particular is I've noticed him collapsing the pocket a fair amount, it's just teams seem to double-team him anyway and that removes him from the play, thereby leaving a giant gap and the linebackers aren't getting there for whatever reason.  Now, CJ....I have no idea; I think the "long in tooth" theory has some merit, though we've only had him since 2007 and that doesn't really bode that great.  Is his body breaking down?  Is that what's going on?

I'm not so sure Colin Cole starting at DT is such a great thing anymore.  Dwan Edwards might be declining some too.

Johnson?  Wish I knew.  Maybe he's declining.  Maybe the whole Hardy thing deflated him.  Maybe not having a similar threat on the other side is letting teams do more to stop him.  Could be any of those or something else.

Final result: That unit just isn't what they were last year, and our entire defense fed off that.

We might get that fixed eventually, but I'm not sure it happens this season.

If Star is being double-teamed most plays then he's doing his job plenty. It's up to the other 3 DL to take advantage of that.

Last year teams had to worry about Greg Hardy on that side.

Double Star?  Hardy was coming.

Double Hardy?  Star's coming.

No offense to the guys, but I don't think anyone's scared enough of Wes Horton, Mario Addison or Kony Ealy to devote a double team to them.

Kuelchy is an outstanding player and he know he is playing horribly.

Stop the physical trainings for a second, the whole defense need to watch the last 2 games again and again to see what is wrong.

And don't tell me they already know what is wrong, obviously they don't.

And enlist a rugby player so he can teach them how to make good clean tackles..
