Eric Church is a Badass Motherfuger

Montgomery was actually a really good solo artist before the M-G garbage, though.

Troy Gentry is the one I had more of a problem with. Both of them tried to cast themselves as real salt of the Earth outdoorsmen. Troy Gentry is the guy that bought a tame black bear and then shot it with a bow in an electrified enclosure.

I am talking about the under 30 crowd. George and Alan Jackson are about all that is left of old school guys

Alan Jackson retired a long time ago. George just retired from touring last month.

Garth Brooks is getting ready for his first tour in 20 years. He's probably the only one out there. Don't think he's under 30, though. Lol

If you're talking about non mainstream there are tons for under 30 crowd.

There is great country music being made pop bs just dominates airwaves.

Check out dbt, Ryan Bingham, American aquarium, bobby bare jr, lucero, Jason isbell and the 400 unit to name a few.

That's what real country music sounds like

Look up Brian Davis also. Great local country singer.

I've liked Eric since before he got big. His first two albums are his best two and they are real... not like his last two. He started out at small bars and worked his way all the way up to where he is today. Not one of those American Idol loafers. So I'd say he's pretty real, just makes music that is exciting, nothing wrong with that.
