Official Panthers - Ravens Gameday Thread

It sounds like what u mean is, the Coaching staff needs to get it together. The offense isn't making the color by numbers calls out there. I witness that last week.

If it doesn't work, why adjust, just stick with it until it does. That seem to have been the motto of the coaching of this team last week and it has continued this week.

Next week u will be back to the passing game, even if it isn't working.

Oh well, back to consoling myself from this beat down the Panthers are taking by watching the Yankees beat the Sox. My guy Jeter is retires today.

Yup Yup

The media told them to run, so they ran, even when the passing was working.

All you had to do, was mix up various short passes with intermediate and long ones with some runs and sweeps thrown in between. But it seems Shula runs the same offense, when the Panther OL is under duress, as if there was none.

The commitment to the run (and FG) in the Third qtr, just showed this coaching staffs losing spirit IMHO

Sorry, but I have to disagree. This offense is devoid of talent outside of QB. I am a FSU alumni so you know I love KB, but the reality is he is a rookie. A rookie that was about the 8th pass catcher selected at the end of the 1st round. He is in an offense--because of the lack of talent--whereby he is going to put up numbers.

That is not to say that KB is not extremely talented but as a rule...the 8th selected rookie WR/TE should not automatically become your team's undisputed best offense pass catching threat (although I suppose Olsen has a great case).

Shula is horrible and we need to look about moving him back to QB coach. I have long said that I am not sure any college program in the top 30 would hire him for the same position.

But this is on a FO that for the better part of 4 years have refused to surround the QB with meaningful talent.

The OC is only a symptom of the larger offensive problem.

And guess who will never complain about that?

Draft the number one QB and wear him down with bad offense and everyone is happy. That is what happens when your QB isn't a chosen one.

Does Shula and company know the meaning of "feeding the receiver?"

Should have been feeding the ball to KB most of the game.  Trust the young man.

Take a page from the playbook of the old panthers teams (used to feed it to SS89 a lot),  from the Lions playbook  with Megatron,  from the Saints playbook with Graham..  if something works,  keep shoving it down the other teams throat.

But then he couldn't run the ball more.

Remember, the media told him he must run the ball this week; so he did.

if this performance keeps up I wouldnt be surprised if someone gets fired. WHY cant we put together 2 back to back winning seasons? WE looked so bad and the thing is even when we have had bad seasons it was always close with newton at the helm. Now its not even close twice in the row. HOW did this happen? Something Needs to  change right now.

And u are right again.

Even a simpleton like myself can see why this team is struggling. Why can't those who get paid the big bucks see it? Why can't more fans see it? It seems those who are allowed to cheer the loudest are the ones who are okay with the same inconsistent playing the has plagued this team since 2008. Even those in the media who are encouraging these coaches see the problem. Talk about the Emperor's New Clothes Syndrome. SMH

Everyone sees what wrong with this team but no one wants to say it because they either don't care or want to always appear right when they pick their preferred teams over such lessees teams as the Panthers.
