Official Panthers - Ravens Gameday Thread

Panthers need to change their OC. Pronto.

He has no concept of how to run an offense.

You have to be flexible in today's NFL. You can't be committed to doing this or doing that. You just gotta take what the defense gives you, or is bad at.

Way too many runs in this game, when the passing game was successful, just because media told you "we should run".

WTF?

Nonetheless, Panthers need to get it together quick, and revamp the offense.

It sounds like what u mean is, the Coaching staff needs to get it together. The offense isn't making the color by numbers calls out there. I witness that last week.

If it doesn't work, why adjust, just stick with it until it does. That seem to have been the motto of the coaching of this team last week and it has continued this week.

Next week u will be back to the passing game, even if it isn't working.

Oh well, back to consoling myself from this beat down the Panthers are taking by watching the Yankees beat the Sox. My guy Jeter is retires today.

Hardy was a do-it-all DE..  could stop the run,  could rush the passer,  and often demanded a tag team to stifle him.   He helped Big Money and Star,  get the freedom they needed to get pressure.

Hardy  for getting into that situation and the NFL both decided this NFL season would be okay to forfeit,  for the Panthers.

Yup, Panthers need to retain Hardy, then lobby the NFL for a reduced suspension (1 or two games), cause he was convicted of a misdemeanor, if it's not overturned.

Offense would be fine with a different OC (barring some healthy RB's).

It's like having a Ferrari in the garage, but you don't have a license or know how to drive it.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. This offense is devoid of talent outside of QB. I am a FSU alumni so you know I love KB, but the reality is he is a rookie. A rookie that was about the 8th pass catcher selected at the end of the 1st round. He is in an offense--because of the lack of talent--whereby he is going to put up numbers.

That is not to say that KB is not extremely talented but as a rule...the 8th selected rookie WR/TE should not automatically become your team's undisputed best offense pass catching threat (although I suppose Olsen has a great case).

Shula is horrible and we need to look about moving him back to QB coach. I have long said that I am not sure any college program in the top 30 would hire him for the same position.

But this is on a FO that for the better part of 4 years have refused to surround the QB with meaningful talent.

The OC is only a symptom of the larger offensive problem.

Does Shula and company know the meaning of "feeding the receiver?"

Should have been feeding the ball to KB most of the game.  Trust the young man.

Take a page from the playbook of the old panthers teams (used to feed it to SS89 a lot),  from the Lions playbook  with Megatron,  from the Saints playbook with Graham..  if something works,  keep shoving it down the other teams throat.

No demotion, that's terribad for both sides. If we go in a new direction, Shula needs to be flat out fired.
