If you watch any NFL game this year, you see that penalties with receivers one on one are almost a given.

 

The Panthers should have recognized, their receivers THIS YEAR are better than the RB's this year, and ball control (at least too much of it) wasn't going to cut it.

 

This team can't run unless Cam Newton is a big threat to do so.
