Smitty matchup is advantage: Panthers

He's quicker than you're giving him credit for

I probably give him more credit for just how great he runs routes and cuts than you do. The fact he takes such great angles and cuts with such great balance makes him successful.....but he doesn't have that quick twitch no more.

You learn something everyday. I would never have guessed that if you throw the ball to a wr a lot, he will get more yards! I hope Shula knows this too!

Shula does a good job with the emphasis on spreading it around. We do a better job than Balt throwing to WRs

Maybe I'm just seeing something that isn't there.

I'm not looking at Steve because he used to play for the Panthers. I'm looking at him as a smaller quick receiver, and we struggled against a similar player in Antonio Brown who gave us more problems than Calvin Johnson did. If this was 03 Steve Smith we would be in a world of trouble, the fact that he isn't the same player should benefit us. But don't take him lightly, this is his Super Bowl. He has to be accounted for.

If Steve Smith was as quick and fast as you believe, he would have had more than 4 TD's last  year.

Even this year, his only TD was on a busted play. He hasn't run away from a defense (either before or after catching the ball) in years. And we all know, he's not big enough to be a legitimate redzone threat (and hasn't been that for years as well).

With all do respect (to both you and Steve Smith); I think you're seeing things.

There will be a lot of trash talking.

But I hope Norman doesn't see any work. He sucks and on top of that does dumb poo....89 would rent space in his head

I'm sure there are players here 89 dislikes and I am sure we got dudes that dislike 89. Oppoaite true too

Norman is probably the last person you want covering him.

I didn't say Norman was any good, I said he might be the only DB on the roster who can cover him.

We contained Megatron pretty well and he is twice the WR 89 is....

I fail to see how 89 can't be stopped unless Norman of all people plays out of his mind

How about 3X the receiver?

I think an AJ Green, would be about 2x better right now.

I wanted to say ("well, I don't know; maybe a) Kelvin Benjamin". But not on game day/today.  Lol.

You guys might want to look at their comparative stat lines right about now. The only difference between the 2 is Smith has 30 fewer receiving yards than Johnson, otherwise they're nearly identical.
