Your 2015 Draft Short List

Obviously this is a very premature list, but I thought it'd be cool if we each updated maybe our top 5 once a month and see how things change over the next year.

My top choice is a bit unrealistic, as I believe Collins will be long gone by the time we pick. Unless of course we take a beating over the next 13 weeks.

2-5 you can flip flop however you want, not really much of a ranking just more of a list for me. Right now Collins is my favorite prospect. I've wanted a hard hitting, athletic safety since forever. It's my second favorite position after WR.

DGB will likely remain at OU next year but I put him in there anyway. Big fan of Ty, strong, explosive WR who's not afraid to lower his shoulder.

We lack talent in the secondary and that's why I have PJ Williams in there. You look at the Cardinals and Seahawks D's (2 of the best) and they both have solid corners.

Top LT, pretty much self explanatory given our mess at that position. And lastly I have Melvin Gordon, most of his highlight have running lanes big enough to drive a truck through. But when he needs to make someone miss he can, if he's truly BPA at the time I'm ok with it. However, we'd need to address OL in the second then, because not even Barry Sanders could be effective with our current OL situation.

1. Landon Collins (I don't think he makes it out of the top 12)

- Ty Montgomery/Dorial Green-Beckham

- PJ Williams (top CB imo)

- Top LT left on the board

- Melvin Gordon (playmaker out of the backfield)

no, QB is the least of the worries. why take a QB when the one on your team has proven to be a franchise guy? build around him, like you should. i would how ever trade back to someone who wanted him.

That's the realistic move.

But, I might just be the only person who's a little worried about Gettleman and Cam's relationship.

    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
