All of a sudden, 89 getting all the love....

Recommended Posts

89 was a jerk when he was here, and he is still a jerk.  He is the best player in Panther history-emphasis on the word HISTORY.  He was never a team player.  It impacted our offense in negative ways you can't see from the bleachers.

He is 35 and has a year or two left---I get it.  Paying him the remainder of his contract to stay here--I don't get.

Its not like he selflessly and enthusiastically blocked for our running backs or anything, when most big-shot wideouts refused to do so.

Hopefully after Sundays game, the Smith fetish on the huddle will fade away.He was a very good WR back in the day here. Now he is an aging player who has had a couple decent games. Media likes to make demi-gods out of players when it benefits their agenda or ratings. Anything to beat this franchise over the head.

the media wants us to go back to expansion team status so anyone against us they'll love..... now if we shut him down and he turns back into what he was last year they'll say he's washed up and our "defense" won the game regardless of how much our offense does. as for Steve Smith, I like dude's talent but seriously he is loving this attention. I saw his interview yesterday and I'm sure he's bipolar.

My message to Smitty is, "Fug you"!!!! Here's hoping you are  shut down and shut up Sunday.I am getting tired of hearing you spout your bias BS "blood and guts" message. I also detest the remarks you have previously made, aimed toward Cam and the Panthers management in general, now that you are no longer a Carolina Panther but a Baltimore Raven, a team that will be our enemy Sunday...

The media has always loved Steve but I think it's a shame that he will cement his place in the hall of fame by putting up numbers with Baltimore. The AFC centric media are seeing more of Steve than ever and that will help him on the voting process.

Part of the reason Steve is getting so many catches is the Baltimore offense and their garbage receivers. Dennis Pitta was never 100% so Steve is the only chain mover.

exactly! at the end of the day SS doesn't matter to them because the bottom line is they want Zack "Tom Brady" Morris or Elvis "Peyton Manning" Presley to win another superbowl. Shannon Sharpe was dead on when he said year ago, "It's time for change because its getting old watching Tom/Peyton"... the talk was about Cam/Wilson/
