That's crazy talk, if anything the NBA should become smaller.

I would keep a close eye on who Bob Johnson is looking to sell to. Ideally it would be someone local but with today's economy he could sell it to anyone.

I think Jordan is gonna be in the mix or trying to put together a group.

Wasn't Benson trying to get out of NO a few years back? Azshole was gonna crap on a city that had one of the worst natural disasters in our history. I may be wrong at 2:30 but it's in my head for some reason.

Yes, Benson wanted to leave mainly because Blanco, who was playing hardball with him right around the time Katrina hit. He saw it as his way out. He wanted a new stadium but Blanco wouldn't budge and she was right, the Dome is perfectly adequate with renovatons and the location is PERFECT. It's the reason that New Orleans has hosted nine Super Bowls.

Since Jindal has been elected(Benson's guy) and because f the the incredible fan support + corporate support Benson is finally happy and is content with the Dome.

Good to hear about Jordan, I don't like seeing any more NBA teams move. It makes it look bush league. I'm all for contraction of at least one or two teams though, the talent pool is watered down and there are some franchises that are literlaly bleeding cash(Indiana & Sactown).

I feel for the Jag fans....they came into the league the same year as us.

I mean the Bobcats, who have a 25 year contract with Charlotte saying they have to pay a lot if they leave so the city recoups it's investment on the arena.

Watch for more and more cities to do the same.

LA doesn't need a ******* team. California has the Raiders, the 49ers and the Chargers. Thats more than enough, its no one's fault but their own that 2/3 of their teams suck balls. Give the next expansion to a state that doesn't have a team.

I don't think NFL worries a bout a state having too many teams. I think they concentrate on a city's ability to support a team. LA is the best city out there without a team. Fans want it, TV would be huge, marketing would be huge.

The city of Industry is a shithole though. It's an industrial city with a total population of 800.

I think they have the backers ready to go. I read articles that say Los Angelians are ambivalent about football but I don't buy it. LA would go nuts for a team

A good venue is key. Dodger fans flock to Dodger Stadium every year whether the Dodgers suck or are good in the 3.5-4 million range. And Dodger Stadium is nearly 50 years old.

The Rams there last few years played in The Big A or more exactly the LA Angels baseball stadium converted for football. Horrible venue. Da Raiders played in a delapidated LA Colliseum with the Thug Raider crowd in a horrible location.

Build this venue the right way with surounding infrastructure and put one or better 2 teams in it and you'll have nothing but sell outs.
