Wasn't that guy from Alaska (was caught within the last three years) suspected of killing several people across the entire U.S.?  I had read about what they suspected he did, and it was very methodical.  They were looking forward to him confessing on several other murders they suspected him of but after getting him into custody he killed himself shortly thereafter.

It annoys me that these fellas get labeled as geniuses. Because for the most part the ones who get caught are complete dumbasses who were basically begging to get caught. The scary poo is that there's who knows how many active serial killers out there that have never been caught and may never will be.

Who was the dude that was a truck driver and drove across the country killing people? He'd pick up hitch hikers. Seems like he was caught recently & they then connected the dots.

The ones that get caught are the ones who sit in one spot and target the same types of people over and over. The others that get caught are just stupid. If someone is going all over the country and randomly killing people it'd be very hard to catch them. It's different now with DNA advances and all the video surveillance, but still.

There's no telling who all is out there unknown. Just think, that nice old man in front of you at the grocery store could be a serial killer that's been murdering people for 40-50 years.

Those guys are, IMO, more wicked than any of the "famous" serial killers. Guys like Bundy, Dahmer, etc were very sick but there was at least some sort of mental defect and method behind their madness. The maniac dudes were just cruel. What they did was simply for laughs & kicks. They just went around butchering random people. And you're right, that 2 guys 1 hammer video is the most horrific thing I've ever seen on the Internet. And I've seen some really messed up crap. They randomly butchered quite a few people. Men, women, elderly, children, it didn't matter. They attacked & killed 3 boys, about age 10, that were just out fishing. Attacked them with knives, hammers, & rods. Beat & butchered them to death. Randomly walked up to a 70-something year old woman sitting on a bench & bashed the side of her head in with a mallet. Killed a pregnant woman. And several others. Won't even describe what they did to the guy in that video.
