Expect another inflow of yanks into Charlotte area

Um ... Charlotte and the Carolinas are two different things. I'm talking about the city. Not where you can drive to in 2-4 hours. Hell, even the lake isn't technically in Charlotte.

So Lake Norman (which is only 10 min north of downtown) is not TECHNICALLY in Charlotte?  Stupid statement buddy.

Nope, people in Charlotte can afford much more than a nice house for cheaper.  People here can afford going out to nice restaurants without fighting for a seat.  People here can afford nice vacations... I've been to many tourists spots around US... you know who you don't see much?  New Yorkers...  As many Virgin Island as I visited, I never ran into one family from New York.  It must be sooo peachy in New York, New Yorkers don't wanna go anywhere or maybe they just can't afford it?

there's tons to do in new york

like talking about new york on the internet and how you live there

I'm looking at a $300,000 ranch with 180 acres, 3 bedroom house, barn, and indoor riding arena. On a quiet road that I can drive 65 on. You can have the big city bargain.

At 65 mph, does it take longer or shorter than an hour to reach a place populated with more people than cows?

My single friends are constantly busy. It's all about attitude. One can certainly find a variety of things each week to keep them busy.

I like how butthurt you are. You got it, NYers don't travel! Might be the dumbest thing you've ever said.

Oh hey look Brooklyn Bully hates Charlotte

Full story at 11

Why do you guys miss the part where I always, ALWAYS, say it's beautiful, and a GREAT place to raise a family? That's not hate. I said it's boring. Stop being butthurt. It simply can't compete with other cities in terms of things to do and energy. Just deal with that fact.

I'd say it's in Davidson. Huntersville maybe? Cornelius. Not Charlotte.

Anyone can find something to DO. That doesn't mean it's not boring.

I'm glad you all are so defensive of Charlotte. I lived there 18 years. It's very pleasant. Nice job market. Decent schools. But there are better places to live if you want more than what Charlotte has to offer. That's just a fact. Doesn't mean CLT is crap. Just means it's not the best.

I'm not "so defensive", I just don't think it is a city with nothing to do.

And of course there are better places to live if you want more than Charlotte has to offer. The phrasing of that sentence is a trip.

Ignore this fool. It's close to 2.5m people live in Charlotte and surroundings, only an idiot would believe there is nothing to do.

most of us probably know a brooklyn bully

it could be the guy you know who always brags about driving a stick and finds a way to work it into every conversation

maybe it's the guy who talks about how the japanese/british original of every tv series or movie is better with no provocation

of course there's always the guy who complains about how "inauthentic" all the local chinese places are
