89 was the greatest WR and player we have put on the field in our history.

He also was a very flawed player and brought a lot of negative into various seasons.....which prevented him from playing here when his skills diminished.

Yelling and fussing at a rookie QB in over his head in field and in the sideline......isn't what a vet WR should do for a rookie QB thrown to the wolves.

Painting him as this great leader, mentor, etc is being an apologist. He wasn't that here. Which is why he isn't here.

Short term memories with 89. No incident last year so all his routine bullpoo is spun and glossed over.

Smith mentored exactly one WR in his time in Carolina. That was Armanti Edwards. Smith saw some of himself in Armanti.

Big tall first round receivers would get zero help from 89.

The standard routine type behavior doesn't negate his negative aspects. Name a Panther vet that doesn't do what you just boasted about 89 doing positive. The absurd stuff he does is what makes him different than say a Kalil, Davis, etc.

It really is simple. Was 89 a headache in Carolina? The answer is simple and easy. Not sure why you want to argue that simplistic thing
