  1. 1. Should the Panthers sit an injured Cam and go with DA?

    • Yes - sit Cam to allow him to heal

    • No - play Cam even if he's dinged up

    • Maybe - play Cam but only if we bring back the QB runs

massive ace boogie fan here.  he needs to get healthy, its as simple as that.  its early and we have the luxury of two decent backups.  its the smart move to sit him and should've been done through these first 3 games. Cam would be in near perfect condition for this portion of the schedule if so.

not a fan of the observer btw

If the line were solid, I'd say keep him in and let him keep lighting it up as a passer. However, the line ain't solid, and I'm afraid of something catastrophic happening to that ankle.

I wonder how honest Cam is being with the trainers about his health. RR admitted that Cam was pissed about the week 1 benching. Will Cam be honest about his pain level moving forward knowing it could keep him on the sidelines?

I don't have enough info one way or another to form a strong opinion on this. I don't see how anyone here can.

Yes, sit him. Let DA take over. Hers another thing to think about. What happens if we sit him, DA has a excellent year and we have to sign Cam to a big contract after the season. What happens?! We still dont know if he will ever be 100% after he has had a season to heal, so do we just sign him to a mega deal and cross our fingers and gamble he will be back to full form?! What if we do that and he comes back like RGIII and never gets back to full form?! Meanwhile we have 100 plus million tied up in him.

Things can get very very intresting fast.. Also what if DA signs with another team after his banner year, come next season Cam gets his cotract, hes still nkt back to form and we will be without DA to save us. Sue the complete opposite could happen and we live happily ever after, but you have to look at all angles

this injury is the best thing to happen to him. We need to keep him in so he can get better at quarterbacking. Screw his running abilities; that's what Dwill, reaves, etc are for. If he truly is our franchise, then yes we need to protect him, and really, part of that protection comes from him becoming more of a pocket player and less of a "running qb".. (that's such a derogatory term).

with that said, I would like to see him move around more than what he did in the pitt game. he was too statuesque. if he can't move in the pocket well, then he should be benched if he's hurt that dang bad

This year will be a pivotal period in Cams development as a qb. He obviously has the some of the greatest physical tools of any qb in the league and when he runs it's WOW! That being said, he is going to learn to trust his arm more than ever and his pocket presence is also turning into a WOW. I believe next year when he's finally 100%, he will be absolutely amazing as he pairs his natural physical tools (running game) with his newly learned knowledge and tremendously increased pocket presence as a qb. He will be able to be the old Cam or vintage Tom Brady on any given play.

I thought season 2 and 3 was pivotal years for Cam? SMH
