Before Cam got rattled on the first drive it looked like we were trying to come out passing to open the run. Our first drive started beautiful

we are a running team that can't run worth a fug so we pass it more. We can't pass deep because we don't have a deep threat receiver other than maybe philly. KB is not a deep threat type dude IMO.

We haven't truly been a running team since 2009.  Cam has skewed our numbers.   To truly be a running team you have to be commited.   The things that used drive people here crazy in the John Fox years ( the infamous 3rd and 8 draw) stuff like that.  Our O-line play as far as run blocking hasn't been great for years. I don't know if the scheme or what, but it's not our backs.  When there are holes we run well, unfortunately we don't create them.

Have to have an identity to have anything....say they wanna run...can't run..say they want to pass..can't get the ball down field. Right now they are just throwing crap against the wall to see what sticks.

Run was fine in 2011. Run was actually decent in 2010 considering the circumstances they were in (no pass threat).

Run game was awful last year. Looks the same this year. Cam made people overlook how weak it was last year. They would make random plays here or there but overall our traditional run in 2012 was garbage

I wish we still had Chud.   With what we know now about our run game,  that it's going to be completely and utterly useless.    With our new WRs,  I feel Chud could have made us into a legit top 5 passing/scoring offense.

that's the problem with what Shula said, trying to sate the masses. 

 

He's right that they should run more.  He's also right to not call runs and short passes down by 17.

 

 

This team isn't a passing team.  It's a running team that doesn't have any backs.  Anyone can stick by their principles with a lead and full health, but the truth is, it's hard to think of the big picture of identity when your line is failing, the backs are all hurt, the QB is hurt, and you're losing.
