Should we trade for Claiborne?

maybe the Dallas Defense is aweful for a reason folks. Maybe the coaching and structure of that defense is completly crap. If its literally for peanuts, why the hell not give him a try? He has the physical tools.

If You support the Hill aquisition, why wouldnt you support this if it were under the same circumstances?

The question posed to the masses was should we trade for Claiborne, not should we pick him up off the scrap heap for free if he is cut.

Maybe, just maybe, some on here should learn to trust Dave Gettleman a little more. Granted he had nothing to do with that draft. However, it might be for that exact reason that he did not get an OT just cuz we needed an OT. Thankfully we ended up with a star receiver in Kelvin Benjamin.

If he's on the market, then I wouldn't mind but I wouldn't give up a 7th round pick for a guy who is dumb as rocks and mentally weak.

the problem is he is not dumb as rocks or mentally weak.

he has a learning disability. it takes him longer than the average person to process information.

claiborne is not a good fit here though.

In the offseason, we can bring him in for a low price, wouldn't harm me in the least.  I know he's looked like garbage, but it's similar to the way people can under sell WR's for not performing when the QB is bad.  Well, he has a terrible front 7 that gets absolutely no pressure, so he's left out there to cover forever and eventually, a NFL WR will get some separation so the Corner looks bad.  Claiborne isn't elite, and may not even be decent, but similarly to Stephen Hill or Mike Mitchell, he might also be the victim of a terrible situation.  My biggest concern bringing him in would be his attitude, but we have strong vet leadership on that side of the ball with TD, Luke, and CJ who I think would check him in place.

We have a zone heavy secondary. Why would we trade for a player that isn't regarded as an intelligent enough player to sit in a zone? They play Tampa 2 in Dallas. Our cover two is somewhat similar. You think he would excel in a similar defense thy requires him to do similar things when he doesn't excel now?
