Bengals ranked the new #1 team in the league by NFL.com, SI, Washington Post, etc

NBC Sports:

The Bengals are really, really good. Of all the NFL’s 3-0 teams, the one that has impressed me most is in Cincinnati. The Bengals, who just destroyed the Titans on Sunday, have a stifling pass defense and an offense that revolves around receiver A.J. Green , who in my view is the best receiver in football not named Megatron. The Bengals have their bye this week and then visit New England. The Bengals are already the only unbeaten team in the AFC, and a win over the Patriots would be a huge statement that the road to the Super Bowl will go through Cincinnati.

Marvin Lewis was a LB in college, then a college LB coach for 10 years before he and Dick LeBeau were hired in 1992 by the new Steelers coach Bill Cowher to be the LB and DB coaches for the Steelers. LeBeau was promoted to DC of the Steelers in 1995, and a year later, Lewis was hired as DC of the newly formed Ravens, where he helped led the Ravens to Super Bowl victory in his 5th year as DC

In 2005, in his 3rd year as the new Bengals head coach, he led them to their 1st Division Title in 15 years. He led them to another Division Title in 2009, and was named AP Coach of the Year, the first Bengals coach to win the award since Paul Brown (who their stadium in named after). Last year, Lewis led the Bengals to the 3rd Division Title as their coach, surpassing the two Division Titles Paul Brown led the Bengals to in his 8 years as coach of the Bengals
