Rolling Stone magazine: "Aaron Rodgers looked flat-out awful in Sunday's loss to Detroit"

The Packers lost despite forcing three turnovers.

Yahoo Shutdown Corner highlighted Rodgers as the biggest loser on their Week 3 Winners and Losers

NFL.com: Despite the big holes, an injury-riddled Lions’ secondary and the much-maligned Lions ' defense frustrated Aaron Rodgers all game long... he never looked comfortable Sunday. ... He looked frustrated throughout the second half and couldn't find open receivers. Rodgers uncharacteristically missed badly on what should have been a touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson on fourth down late in the fourth quarter, essentially icing the game.

comments on the NBC Sports article on the game:

- can we please be done with green bay being the class of the league? they lost to a beat up lions secondary… rodgers clutch? 162 yards and 1 td? give me a break.

- You have the All mighty Aaron Rodgers and only score 7 on the Lions? Packers are a joke, not even in the top 15.

- Packers = Pretenders. Most overrated team in all of football with the most overrated QB ever.

- WOW 7 points for that power house O

- Lions 8th string D outscores the vaunted Packer offense.

- Where ya at Pack fans? You just got owned by our 25th string secondary. Either our defense is really good or Aaron Rodgers and his receivers aren’t that good but it has to be one or the other.

- As pack fans would say Oh no big deal in 1964 we were good, hahahaha

- So Packers should slide down the power rankings to 5! Lol.

- Always next year packer fans!

- Were it not for the Jets epic collapse in the 2nd half last week, the vaunted Packers would be 0-3.

- Goodall just suspended the Lions team for 6 games for beating up those women on the field. Ha ha ha

Aaron Rodgers has over- or underthrown 11 pct of his passes in '14

ESPN:

The Lions stymied Rodgers largely by playing coverage and relying on their front four to provide pressure. Rodgers faced four or fewer pass-rushers on 25 of his 29 dropbacks, but he completed only 58.3 percent of the resulting passes at an average of 5.8 yards per attempt. (In his career, Rodgers has completed 67.7 percent and averaged 8.15 yards per attempt against standard rushes.) Rodgers did not attempt a single pass of at least 20 yards downfield for the first time since Week 3 of 2011, and he managed just one completion on passes thrown at least 15 yards.

...

After averaging 6.0 yards per attempt Sunday, he is averaging 6.8 for the season. In 2013, he ranked No. 2 in the NFL at 8.7 yards per attempt and 8.24 yards in his career as a starter before this season. Some of that slip can be tracked to Rodgers' inaccuracy; he has overthrown or underthrown 11 percent of his passes this season, more than twice his career average, based on video analysis.

    • I'd rather figure out a way to get Howell from Seattle.  I think he would do really well in Canales offense.  I also think Howell would do great with this offensive line. Thoughts?
    • 30 points a game. People were hoping to get 17-21 with Young at Qb. This week will be a tougher defense sure would be nice to eat off their plate.
