Stewart Injury Prone?

Man, some of you guys KILL me! He has never missed a game in the NFL due to an injury....obviously the coaches are just erring on the side of caution with him. I would much rather have him healthy for the real deal, than risk it in TC.

Stewart seems like the kind of guy who, unless he is physically unable to perform, will play through an injury. I just hope that this doesn't develop into some kind of nagging turf toe problem ala Stephen Davis.

And to the guys saying cut him if he doesnt produce 100 yards....please tell me you are joking.

I could see us cutting our losses with Stew next off season If he doesnt run for at least 1000

 Did you see Stewart's production last year as a rookie? He had a 4.5 yard/carry avg. and led all rookies w/ 10 rushing TDs. Dude was a beast considering what the #1 RB did in Carolina and touches DeAngelo got. Cutting our losses????????

His injuries last year didn't effect him too much as ran over people...nor did it at Oregon.

an injury prone stewart?

his senior year at oregon he "suffered" with turf toe, an ankle sprain, a hand contusion and still rushed for over 1700 yards @ 6.2 ypc.

he didn't miss a single game.

in 2006, along with ankle injuries he had rib cartilage damage, a chest muscle strain, and a neck strain.

he still rushed for almost a 1000 yards @ 5.4 ypc...he contributed over 1700 all purpose yards.

his freshman year is when he suffered his ankle injury...before the injury he scored on an average of every 8x he touched the ball.

his high school numbers are absolutely insane. 7755 yards and 95 TDs in 4 seasons.

the ankle injury has slowed him down, but it hasn't hindered him as much as him being pampered by carolina.

even banged up, he's still better than most of the starting RBs in the league.
