Steve Smith now in the top-ten for most 100-yard games

Most likely will end up having 1000+ receptions, 15,000 receiving yards, 80+ receiving TD's. On top of that he'll have 4,000 return yards, nearly 400 rushing yards and roughly 90 total touchdowns. Add his playoff success at getting yards and touchdowns.

Thats 19,000 total yards and close to 100 touchdowns in the regular season plus prolific playoff stats, if that's not hall of fame worthy....then I don't know what is.

 

He's never been a really big name though. Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald all get more attention than Smitty even though Smitty is better. He absolutely deserves to be in the HoF even right now, but I don't think he's a lock unless he gets a ring too. Unfortunately.

Panther fans do suffer from an inferiority complex to a great degree at times.

Given time, when Smitty's outstanding career is done and it's time to enter the HOF he'll go in as a Panther and Panther nation will rejoice.

I understand that, because there were so many other receivers on the roster who could replace him..... oh, wait... he still had more yards this season than anyone on the Panther roster...

With 101 yards so far in the Baltimore Ravens game, Smith now has four career 100-yard games in 10 playoff games. If these results hold, His 56 receptions will rank 28th all-time (higher than Randy Moss and Terrell Owens). His 957 receiving yards would be good for 14th all-time (ahead of Marvin Harrison, Larry Fitzgerald, and Randy Moss). His 8 receiving touchdowns remain tied for 11th all-time (as do his 11 total touchdowns), and his 95.7 yards per game would be 16th of all-time.
