In spite of all of us convincing ourselves the team would never take any opponent lightly, I think we did just that.

 

We won big vs Detroit, and the team relaxed a bit too much. Hopefully, we've learned our lesson once again. Every opponent in the NFL can kick your ass if your aren't at your best.

Under Rivera the team has always had 3-4 of those per year.....oh what am I saying under Fox it was the same way...no clue why we come out like that no matter whose the coach.

I don't think the team was not prepared. It's the NFL. Sometimes you screw up and sometimes you get beat. It happens.

Our coaches are terrible at game planning and adjusting during the game. Our defense got rocked because they had a poor game plan. We ran the ball 10 times and thats just awful.

There's a difference between getting beat and looking like you you don't belong on the same field as the other team.

Something was definitely off with the team last night

Not saying it's true, but watching the game last night made me think we showed up expecting the Steelers to cower in fear... Hopefully they get whatever was wrong out of their system.

I think it's most probable that the team was overlooking the Steelers.

We could swap every player, personnel, and executive on this team with the Seahawks and I feel like we'd still have the same stupid problems that never seem to go away

Agree. And with guys like Ryan Kalil playing poorly, I am thinking it was something intangible. The guys just were not prepared or motivated.

I made a comment last night that the team seemed to be in a fog. Rivera looked like he was somewhere else. They showed Gettleman and Jerry and they both seemed to be day dreaming. I think this past week took a mental toll on the team.
