So... About that extra day off for veterans...

If you have a lot of vets missing time already, it's usually because they're doing things on the field they're not used to. Increasing their snap counts, playing guys an third down that usually don't, etc. Interchanging guards and tackles, moving LBs inside and outside, making nickel corners starters, etc.

    • Lol so you think that Daniel Jones trotted out on the field to lose deliberately so the Giants could draft his replacement???
    • The thing is you can't just trade away every player that is decent. At some point you need a competitive roster even if you're willing to deliberately weaken the team around midseason to try to get a higher pick. That doesn't work if you've got nobody on the roster on the first place.  We do need a QB room reset - unless Bryce proves he can be a decent backup the rest of the season. While a high draft pick helps there, we of all teams should realize it's no guarantee. As to deliberately tanking at this point in a season - that's very, very hard. It's much easier with 1-3 games to go, where you bench starters to avoid injuries etc.
    • I get what you're trying to say, but I feel like it's a little different in the NFL.  There are players that, no matter how hard they work, or how bad they want it, will never be able to be a good NFL player, in fact most of them.   In the NFL the lace up your boot straps mantra only really works when you have enough talent to begin with.
