Tolbert hairline fracture, stewart bad, knee sprain, TD not saying yet

Our season is maybe done after 3 weeks? Don't be so quick to give up. Last year, we were 1-3 with things looking bleak and we turned that around. The whole team had a bad game. If someone is injured, next man up. I am not going to give up on my team like that. We are still 2-1. I doubt we see the defense play like that again this year. We will get it together and come back hard againts the Ravens.  Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. We are fine.

I respect you for being optimistic.  I personally don't see a playoff team.....yet.  Things can change, but after witnessing that embarrassment last night, it's hard to say this team is capable of making a playoff run.  Not with our best DE gone, one of our best LB's banged up, a depleted backfield, and an o-line that couldn't block a paraplegic.

No worries. We can roll with Fozzy, Reaves and hopefully Williams for a week or 2. Smitty came back from a sprained knee in 3 weeks last season, so I'm sure Stew can do the same. As far as Tolbert, broken bones are much better news than torn ligaments, so I'm sure we'll get him back before the Seattle game.

As far as TD, yeah it looked like a hammy, but again thank the lord it wasn't another ACL. Playing with Luke, Klein and Blackburn for a couple weeks won't be the end of the world. If anything it'll push us into nickle packages more often so Benwikere will have a chance to shine.

In short, don't panic. We got this.

i felt much more pessimistic last year following the cardinals game, although these injuries are discouraging. i have no insider info at all, but i think davis will be back see as it wasn't his knee. i think he would have been visibly shaken if it were a serious injury.

as much as i love them, losing an RB isn't too big of a deal. i hope seastrunk gets a real look, and he's not just there as a practice squad body.

our main concern should still be the o-line

Yes but Seattle meanwhile catches it every year and so do the Aints and Patriots, etc. If you wanna make the playoffs and be elite, you have to have good luck. We never have that. One in every 6 years or so.

A little Luck yes, but depth as well. Hardy or Davis being out should not make or break the defense. KB or an oline man being out should not make or break the offense. A QB ok, but no other position or even couple of positions should destroy your team if the next guy up needs to play.

Unfortunately, that's the Panthers. Zero depth.

It's hard to compare the Patriots to the Panthers. Bellichek had a similar track record to Ron in his Cleveland stint. He came to the Patriots with some experience and tons of connections. The Patriots have had tons of injuries over the years. Whether it's Gronk, Willfork, or Brady they keep winning with their system. 11-5 with Matt Cassel.

I agree we don't catch a ton of breaks but it's on us to make chicken salad. And the gloom and doom is premature, let's lose more than one game before we give up on this season.

So what's the cap hit next year if we cut Stewart?

i am no cap expert, but this doesnt look promising...

i think DWill is gone next season, Stewart before 2016

to be honest, it really is looking alittle bleak. it was already going to be tough enough to get back to the playoffs this year. unless the "next man up" philosophy works wonders over the next couple weeks, its going to be tough to win until we get back healthy again. right now, i am just praying we make it to 9 wins. anything more would be a blessed bonus for me...

Let's be honest, with the way they played last night and  next 8 games this team has in front of them they will be lucky to come out of it at 5-6. Cam, Tolbert, Davis, Stew, Dwill all hurt. Things don't look nearly as good as they did. Anything above 5-6 at the end of this next 8 games is a plus.
