This past week the radio talent (and I use the word talent very lightly when discussing WFNZ) has been pumping up the fans about not selling tickets to Steelers fans, representing Charlotte, making Charlotte a better sports town and more emphasis being placed on the Panthers, etc....the very next commercial is an ad by WFNZ on which bars are Steelers bars, Jets bars, Browns bars etc

 

Well it's all asinine to begin with. People don't buy tickets the Friday before a game. Those Steelers fans were making plans when the schedule released. Also most sales are done online. It's not like PSL owners are in seedy back alleys meeting Steelers fans in trench coats. Most transactions are automated. 

 

I would rather we just pretend it wasn't an issue because talking about it doesn't change it. There are 70k seats in that stadium. How many people even listen to WFNZ?

In WFNZ's defense, I have listened to them during the day and will hear "we will be taking your calls" and then like 30 ,minutes I realize they haven't taken any calls because nobody is calling.

I sold my tickets to a panthers fan. I think I could have gotten double face if not more on stubhub. I don't blame the owners for taking the cash.
