The Stew tackle looks a lot better in slow-mo, but I believe that Tolbert's leg was hurt by the helmet, and didn't have anything to do with him spinning.

Did you see how Tolbert's leg bent when he landed? That would definitely cause a fracture.

Teammates don't go to that extent to tackle one another.

 

If the opposition's player commits what I think may be a dirty hit without people commenting on it, then I would ask the same question regardless of the year, particularly when that player has a history of playing right on the edge.
