Kelvin Benjamin: Panthers Playmaker

I don't think kelvin is gonna be a yac kind if guy unless we start throwing him in space.

It seems like every catch he has made has been in a ton of traffic.

Also the way our O plays. It's kind of get what you can and get down. Limit chances of turnovers.

Kelvin is a beast there is no denying that. He leads rookie wr in yards. And has made insane catches already.

Anderson is throwing more tds and completing over 72%. If you cant look at the facts of the stats without resorting to these kinds of remarks you need to go somewhere else. 66 isnt nearly 70 btw.

And Anderson has only played one game out of three so your response is flawed. Please go somewhere else.

KB is the real deal. We gotta get him a legit #2 preferably a speedy/shifty WR who can create separation.

Imagine a Percy Harvin type WR next to Benjamin...

By all accounts, it looks like Philly is going to be that guy. The staff really likes him in that role. He has the speed and shiftiness that you look for in your WR#2.

As he learns, there is a very good chance he can be what you/we think he can be.

He's dropped balls in at least two games now, including a very well thrown TD pass by Cam last week.

He doesn't have a good drop percentage or YAC, suck it up.

LOL. 3 drops in 3 games and he has the dropsies. Man, I am glad you ain't the coach.

Not every pass that hits the ground is a drop. Ah hellz, nevermind. You have this thought in your head and no one is going to change it.

So glad the folks that matter don't have you in their ear.

Uh, I've stated that Kelvin is doing well, better than expected, but he's not all upside. The drops he's had were all very good throws, and then stonehand or a miss time jump. Also three drops in X games doesn't matter, what matters is how many targets he getting. I've read on one site his drop percentage is already around 10%, which is double of Smith's last year.

Oh, I see. We compare a 12 year vet to a rookie to make your point. Cool.

In the other thread you are bashing folks for not respecting Smitty. But it's fine for you to rag on a rookie? He had a bad stretch where he dropped 3 passes in a row. Never had a drop before that, nor a drop after.

Mistiming a jump is not a drop. Well maybe to you. The kid blocks extremely well, has caught everything, and I mean catches that shouldn't be catches. He has exceeded expectations to the max. But by all means. Hate on him for not getting those YAC yards, mistiming a jump, and 3 lousy drops.

You're completely ignoring my point which is he's not Receiver Jesus. You guys love to jerk off this kid and act like he's flawless, he's not. He's dropping more well thrown balls than any receiver we had last year including LaFell at this point.

It's also false that I'm "bashing" him. I've praised him, he's done more than any rookie receiver we've ever had, and arguably so far is playing better than any receiver drafted this year. But like I said he's not perfect, which is what a lot of posters are implying. The difference between my post and the others in that thread is you have people going out of their way to insult Smith, disreguard what he's given this team, and outright lie about him. All I've said was he isn't dynamic and needs someone beside him that can make those break away plays, and his big knock at this point is drops.

Keep misconstruing my statements if it makes you feel smart big guy.

Um...what was your point? His drops? His YAC? His mistiming jumps? I addressed all those points.

You have gone over the top to dis on him. My only thought is that you must not be a Panther fan. Cuz I can't believe a true Panther fan could possibly be anything but ecstatic with what he has done so far.

He has caught everything, with some extremely spectacular ones thrown in, with the exception of those 3 drops. None before those, none after those. I can forgive him that small lapse. You? Not so much.

He blocks like the beast he is.

He doesn't run the kind of routes that are indicative of YAC yards.

He has shown the ability to be a true #1 WR.

Oh...and did I mention he is only a fugging rookie.

Why all the anger. Because you can't get folks to agree with you. Maybe, just maybe, you might think of reassessing your position. Or your attitude.

Did I mention how many penatlies he's also received in only three games? And in the preseason he was playing chippy, and once even pulled a defender down by his dreadlocks?

Are you going to cry now that I said something true, but negative about your crush?

Is it just me, or does anyone else notice. Players and teams nowadays have to be perfect or folks just go gaga.

We have future HOFers at QB and MLB. With a poo ton of talent elsewhere. We have a coaching staff that does a great job of teaching. We have a football guy in charge for the first time in forever. And we are winning games.

Yet it isn't enough. When is it going to be enough?
