Kelvin Benjamin: Panthers Playmaker

lindseyj, I am in no way a Cam hater. I'm one of his biggest proponents and always have been - at least after the Panthers drafted him. I think he's in extraordinary talent that I've really never seen before.

Injuries, OL play and lack of running game aside, I thought Cam could have taken more shots to KB when the Steelers were in man-to-man coverage. KB's a mismatch on any one DB. Exploit the mismatch until they adjust. Make them adjust and then find the weakness created by that adjustment.

Cam did. KB had 8 catches. Cam threw a perfect floater to the endzone that KB should've caught but he miss timed his jump.

I know he threw him passes, pretty sure his first pass was to KB. I just thought he had more opportunities to toss it up to KB. The kid doesn't have to be open for you to throw it up to him jump ball style.

Eli and Big Ben would look to Plaxico whenever they got in trouble and just throw him a jump ball. At 6'6", he usually came down with it. KB can be a more athletic Plaxico.

Cam is better than Ben & Eli combined.

Here's the catch though, he's not dynamic in YAC and he's dropping balls. His drop percentage so far is already around 10% if what I read a minute ago is true. Kind of wish we had someone dynamic beside him, and not just possession receivers. Maybe Hill pans out.

We did get Kelvin involved from the get go. He caught a first down on the first play of the game. Our offense was driving down the field, looking great. Then Cam nicks his ankle and everything was a little off after that.

Your right! So why did we stop going to him and let all those drives stall!?

Still can't believe he fell that far in the draft. I said before the draft that Benjamin was the best WR in the draft. It was clear he had the most potential out of all the WR's. The only question mark was his hands. If he can work on catching the ball he had scary potential. Just look at his youtube highlights, kid had the size and athleticism to make highlight reel catches.

This guy is gonna be a problem for years to come. You can't teach 6'5 235 pounds at WR.

I see your love of Cam but do you have any proof to support?

You can't just say it. Eli and Ben won a lot games including SB when they are under the center. I'm not saying its Cams fault but hey he's not that good yet, at least not now.

Cam is completing nearly 70% of his passes while playing with broken ribs behind the worst OL in the league.

Cam haters need to go shoot themselves.

Well if you have to call us Cam haters, Colin Kaepernick's completing 70.2% of his passes and the QB from Rams who's a nobody to this leagues makes it 72.3%.

It's hope for Cam, not hate, you got it?
