All anyone wants to talk about is the offense.

 

Do you people not realize we gave up 454 yards to the Steelers? Let that sink in...454 yards. Maybe it's time we talk about the defense.

 

Yet we were just a TD away from leading for most part of the first half. Our defense poo the bed and still didnt give up but 9 points in the first half and that was with a turnover.

I agree with the OP, when did we run? Steelers made us one dimensional, no running game by us, very brilliant by the Steelers, they slowly squeezed, then boom!

The funny thing about Pittsburgh's pass rush. They were just beating guys. It was like watching a black belt vs grocery bagger. They used their hands and worked our line.

You can't point at any one reason why we lost, because there were many reasons. Time to move on to next week and the Ravens.

Can we get AP next season? Have a fresh look for our offensive plan.. get something the players are confident in. Never stop looking for more weapons, regardless of money.

What part of the game did they gain confidence? Knowing they were kind souls for helping Newton up off the turf. We scored a total of 3 points in the first half and our defense held there opponent to 9 points with bad field position. Who lost that battle I ask?

I'm okay with Derek Anderson starting one game, maybe two.  We get beyond that and I start getting nervous.

 

I'm not sure one or two games gets Newton back where he needs to be.
