Cam Tonight

I'm not so sure.

What you saw demonstrated tonight was just how important Cam Newton's mobility really is to his performance.

Healthy, he can move around to extend plays and even threaten defenses as a rusher.

Take those things away and you force him to play a game that, even if it were his style, would be impossible behind this offensive line.

Cam for the most part has done well in the pocket but Shula sure does not make it easily on pocket passers. At some point a OC has to know his QB is hurt and Oline sucks so maybe he should cut down the long developing plays.

Where was DA's energy in the 4th quarter of the Bucs game? He almost cost us the game.

Didn't you see it? When DA through, and SOMEHOW OUT OF NOWHERE the DB got his hands on a sure pick six DA kneeled down on one knee, The Golden Calf of Bristol'd prayerd', and unleashed his energy to break up the interception.

I don't care what I sound like to people who won't ever get something they aren't USED TO hearing.

So if the O-line plays better next week is it "good energy"? How about the week after that? Maybe people aren't used to hearing what you are saying because it's nonsense.

Anderson audibled a lot because he was in control. His energy level told his teammates that he was and it inspired them. He instilled confidence in them. The same "I wonder what's going to happen" that you all feel when watching the Panthers offense is the same uncertainty that the players out there feel because that's the pre-snap energy that Cam emits. Everything is reactionary, let's see if this is going to work. Again, most of you can fight it, but it'll still be so even if you don't get it. Cam is still not in control of this offense yet, and it shows in his pre-snap body language. He will make plays here and there, but he still doesn't own it. The offense has to work for him. He doesn't control it. Pre-snap energy, not experience, is the main reason.

We aren't fighting an issue like pre-snap energy because that issue doesn't exist.

Sorry, but I just don't see it and it isn't because of denial. Cam is a great leader but the most notable thing about Cam's tenure here comes down to the fact he's underappreciated and undervalued.

Anderson called a couple audibles and a couple others appeared to be dummy audibles. Audibling means nothing about energy. The playbook was likely simplified for DA and he took advantage against a crappy team. He did a great job. Doesn't make him better than Cam in any way, including pre-snap energy.

At what point in tonight's game did you see a pocket?
