If Hardy is found Innocent we really need to reconsider letting him go

we rotate 3 guys to do hardy's job and none of them, in their specialty, are better than hardy is in any facet of the game.  also, it was a hardy replacement who encroached last night.

i don't know how many times i saw a backup end out of position and watching a RB go by them.  hardy was excellent at not getting caught in no mans land on run plays, forcing backs to react early, chasing sideline to sideline, etc.  he was sorely missed last night, but i do agree he is not the sole reason the panthers lost.  they got beat down in all aspects of play.

Yep.  Hardy makes the opposing offensvie line have to pay extra attention and/or change protection schemes.  He absolutely is a difference maker.  I don't see how this is even in question.

I believe we still would have lost with the way the entire team played, but Hardy definitely would have helped.

when on top of our game, with Hardy and CJ, both get doubled which means at least one less receiving option is available.  that made life easier on our average secondary.

Why does the team think they will decide whether Hardy stays or go?  Perhaps he won't want to hang around after all this bad publicity and the team basically forcing him to sit out?

If nothing else, Hardy will probably be very grateful to the Panthers for the organization's handling of the matter.  They stuck by him and preemptively suspended him WITH pay instead of waiting for the league to take action and suspend him WITHOUT pay.  The Panthers saved him millions.  Hopefully he remembers that when it comes time to talk about the new contract...

Indeed.  That was Hardy's fault his first couple of years.  His pass rush was solid (but improving) but his run defense was atrocious not because he wasn't physically fit for the task but because he didn't know the nuances of the position at the NFL level.  He learned how to not get caught out of position and now quite honestly he's one of the best 4-3 DEs in the league vs the run.....AND he gets sacks.  Tyler Brayton and Julius Peppers rolled into one.  I honestly don't think there's a 4-3 DE in the game as OVERALL good as Greg Hardy.

Hardy absolutely would have had an impact on their run game.  Instead of the Steelers double teaming Star and KK they have to double Hardy.  Right now teams can just 1v1 us on the outside.  Their entire scheme has to change with Hardy in the game.

On pass blocking perhaps, but I don't think they would have double teamed Hardy on a run up the gut.
