If Hardy is found Innocent we really need to reconsider letting him go

I think a lot of people around here underestimate how important he was to our defense last year. There is a reason the GM and coaches felt like he was worth franchising.

Yeah he really showed out in that San Francisco game...

If we let him walk, maybe we'd have a better line instead of Division 2 rejects and defensive tackle converters and restricted free agents.

The biggest run was on the right side, CJ overplayed it. However if you notice, the runs where up the middle or on the left side, Hardy side. Hardy requires a double team, a 2nd player focus. Our DTs were getting double teamed. Our LB wasn't hitting those holes either and I can't fully remember if our safeties were playing the run like they usually do. I think those screens seriously kept the LB on their heels because of their ability to cut back in and break one. They had to keep that mind. I do expect the run defense to suffer a little without Hardy, but I dont think teams will play that same exact same way.

just so you all know greg is in a great spot as now we are more likely to sign him if innocent especially if the defense falls flat. i see what he did there.... months ago i asked a question and its only right to ask again: "was Hardy worth it?" nevermind steve smith, but MM and Ginn are clearly gone now and we could have added that oline help... vets of course.

He was the reason our run defense was good and why we were the #2 defense in the league. If Hardy plays that game, we win. If he's found innocent in November and we get him back we gotta lock him up long term immediately.

If Hardy is found innocent, we won't be able to afford him.

The one thing I saw different was that Keek had an Olineman attached to his chest half of the night last night.  Normally, the DLine is not handled so easily as to have an extra guy assigned specifically to Keek.  Hardy's presence could have meant that there weren't free Olineman to get to our LB's.

The game would have been different if Hardy played, but the game could have been won if we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot.  Even with the big run plays.  By the way, kudos to Thomas DeCoud being able to run Bell down.  Plays like that is what helps this defense become special.  Instead of it being a 90 run touchdown, you could hold them to three points or possibly get a turnover. (Of course ultimately we gave up the touchdown, but I believe in that same series, Horton goofed, giving the Steelers the opportunity to score a touchdown)
