The problem isn't Shula, it's Cam's energy before the snap. Too slow and lethargic. Watch most QBs before the snap and they are lively and full of energy. It sets the tone. Cam drags. Change that, and the offense will get it done every night.

And people, this thread isn't about tonight's performance. Our O has looked pedestrian ever since Shula's took over. No one fears our O.

People act like this is our only poor game with Shula talking about the defense and special teams. Shula has been a terrible OC overall. Incredibly inconsistent and hardly ever calls the plays we need in crucial situations. I wish we didn't attribute the success that we had on offense last season all on Shula when it was clear Cam made our offense. We went into this season only looking at the numbers and said "our line is fine", "our OC is fine" and went with what we had.

you can't hold him without some blame. the delusional defense his few remaining supporters offered up was that our offense was bland and ineffective on purpose. that it was our "offensive efficiency" that we should hang our hats on.

that line of thinking was exposed tonight. it was shown why it was so ineffective.

you win in this league by racking up accumulating lots of yards and by extension getting lots of points.

offensive "efficiency" is meaningless.

Wrong. The offense blew. They wore out their own defense by doing nothing. If they don't get a running game going, it's only going to get worse. Cam needs to speed up before the snap. Moving as slow as he does also hurts the running game. On one handoff it's like he was moving in slow motion to give it to Stewart, and of course it lost yards.

3-4 absolutely kills shula. well he usually sucks against 4-3 defenses as well, but he's jaguars bad against the 3-4.
