Week 3 Gameday Thread

No it wasn't. It was a calculated decision and in his place they've got a future all pro who's a much bigger target and has a long career ahead of him.

Oakland had a chance to put NE at 1-2 except for a stupid holding call that negated a TD.

Oh that's cool. I mean I guess he knew for a fact Benjamin would be there at our pick, and that Benjamin would 100% pan out this year, and that by karma we would have to sacrifice Steve Smith in order to pick him, you know instead of having both Benjamin and Smith.

He had 745 yards. Far from 800. He never had higher than 69 yards in a game. He had key drops that were not normal for Smith if you been watching the games over the years.

Nice exaggerations.

You stick with your narrative, I'll stick with common sense.

He missed games, and played hurt in games. He had "key drops" because our entire offensively philosophy usually boils down to run, run, pass. Guess which play is considered key? Look at his drop percentage per year, and compare it with his earlier years and other WR's in the league. Oh, what I'm right?

Keep blowing smoke out ya ass.

What makes you say that Smith wouldnt have continued to regress? He had 1200 yards in 2012 and only 750 last year. And i can think of several occasions where smith blew a game for us last year with huge drops. Arizona for instance, where Cam was tearing tham up until smith had consecutive drops (one of them in the endzone).

Saying that the 'numbers dont lie' is a complete bull argument..

He had almost 1400 yards in 2011, almost 1200 in 2012, and then Shula ball 745 yards in 2013.

What makes me think he wasn't going to regress? He's three games in and has about 300 yards?

Drops, drops, drops? Benjamin had three huge drops last week that people here skimmed over. Steve Smith's drops last year were normal, but because of how fuging stupid our offense is designed they were all "huge".
