Should we go after Vincent Jackson from Tampa Bay?

It works on Madden.

Maybe we can cut Hardy?

Smh.

Things may seem that easy in the little cubicle called a video game, but out here in the real world, they're a bit more complex. The tagline, "If it's in the game, it's in the game" is a stretching of the truth. Madden's salary cap is designed to be simple so it's kinda fun and cool. But the real life salary cap your favorite team from Carolina has to deal with is complex, confusing, and if violated, can cause the Panthers to be fined and lose our draft picks. This happened recently to the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins.

Here's an example from the Panthers this year. Remember Jon Beason and Steve Smith? They have not and will not play a single snap for the Panthers this year, but due to the complex rules about the salary cap, part of the contract they had with us is still being applied to our cap. And there's nothing we can do about it. Beason is taking up $8 million and Smith $5 million. Madden doesn't have that part of the real salary cap because it would make the game more work than fun and you wouldn't buy the new one next year.

Life lesson in this is don't believe an ad or a person when either is trying to sell you something and get your money.

Perhaps a little more kindness and less sarcasm would be appropriate towards another Panther fan who is not as knowledgeable as yourselves? Helping Cam2Benji become a better Panther fan seems better than minimizing and ridiculing. After all, none of you were born with that knowledge, so pass it along. Otherwise they'll learn it on the streets and end up a Foulc*nt or (shudder) a Taints fan.
