NBC/Mike Florio: "jury remains out on whether Kaepernick is a franchise QB"

Kaepernick didn't play that bad today.  But Arizona's defense is really good, as is every other team in their division.  Got to admit that I am glad we are no longer in the NFC West.

Ehhh, I'd still say we're in one of the toughest divisions in football (minus the Bucs right now).

Our division is probably second best in the NFC, but its a distant second to the NFC West.  If Atlanta or New Orleans had better defenses, it would be closer.  But as it stands now, we have the only good defense in the division and defense is a requiremnstill wins championships.

don't think anybody would want to play in NFC South either. Would be nice to live in AFC East like Brady does his whole NFL career so far

Gotta look at results over the last few years. Defending Superbowl champs, four out of the last six NFC championship game teams are from the NFC west.  We won the south, but lost three out of five games against NFC West opponents last year.  Right now, they are the top dog based on results on the field.
