Leave your Hardy jerseys at home

Wow...you would think the Ravens were selling the new iphone 6 today by the looks of that line.

Everyone in the iPhone 6 lines didn't get the 6. Many got the iPhone 5, which is FREE NOW with a 2 year contract. That's how marketing works, lol.

People will turn out for ANYTHING NEW AND FREE. It's not about hating Rice, it's about NEW AND FREE, lol.

What I do know is this, many here have repeatedly used the crack argument to discredit the accuser's claims of DV.

Greg either had an extended intimate relationship with a drug addict... or... his accuser is not a crack addict, lending even more credence to her claims of DV.

Many here want to ignore the findings of the court. That is understandable since Greg is appealing the findings. However, a supposedly impartial legal expert was tasked to review all the relevant evidence and determine Hardy's innocence or guilt. For those awaiting a legal resolution, the findings of the judge don't provide any credence to Greg's claims of innocence.

Ok, let's ignore the judge's findings. Do the Panthers/NFL even require a guilty judgment to prevent Hardy from playing for the team? Apparently not.

As a Panthers fan, I hope things work out for Greg and he is found innocent of all charges. Until then, hopefully he utilizes this additional free time wisely, implementing some life changes to preclude any more unfortunate incidents like this from occurring in the future.

Greg is the captain of his own destiny. A course correction is in order.

I think I like many were pretty shocked he was found guilty based on the testimony we were getting from people live tweeting the trial.

The trial is a big reason I think he may not be the one lying here, even if the judge ruled otherwise.

Others of us are just frustrated with the media, who barely talked about this for two months, are suddenly running one sided exposes, that are designed to flex their muscle.

And this is a media circle jerk. Recent polling suggests that the public actually doesn't really care all that much, but media always talk about "public outrage" in their coverage. Because they are so confined to the media bubble and echo chamber they really think that the fact a bunch of media members have "hot sports takes" that it must mean public is outraged as well.

The media head is so swollen with the rivers of self righteousness that now I am pulling for Hardy to be acquitted, not so he can play for the Panthers, but so I can ask the media what their plans are to restore Greg's reputation, after they so eagerly destroyed it and wait for their predictable snarky responses and deflections.

Him playing would be just a bonus.

The media has conveniently turned false/phony corporate sponsor outrage into public outrage. Trust me, the fan public doesn't care nearly as much about this as the corporate shills like Anheuser Busch, Radisson and some of the others who decided they were safe enough to speak on behalf of the entire football fan public and threaten to pull sponsorship dollars from the league.

The NFL nor do the teams make any money from you sitting in your seat buying $8 beers and $10 nachos. They make it from the sponsors with their names displayed all over the big screen. The minute those dollars are threatened is when the teams and the league decided they needed to knee jerk as hard and fast as possible. Hence the Peterson and Hardy situations.

Is this a serious thought right now? OP did we do the following?...

When Steve Smith punched his teammate('s) Anthony Bright in 2002, or Ken Lucas in 2008, did we tell people to leave the jerseys home? In a causal setting this could be classified as assult no? Maybe we shoildntw wear his jersey anymore.

When Julius Peppers got suspended 4 games for using a banned substance in 2002, did we scream and shout to never wear the cheaters jersey any more?

When Todd Saurebraun (spelling?) Was arrested for a DUI and was under investigation for steroids did we have an outrage? Pretty sure people were pumped about his tackles.

I could keep the list going but lets be sensible OP, Hardy hasn't been convicted by a jury of his peers yet. Yes he has been murdered by the media and public opinion, but let's reserve judgement until he has his court hearing and is either found guilty or not guilty.
