Based on some of the trailers for 'The Conjuring', I actually thought this creepy doll would have more to do with the plot (she was something of a subplot at least).

 

Now she gets her own movie, a 'Conjuring' prequel opening October 3rd (good timing).

I can't remember the last good horror movie I've seen. Hollywood keeps recycling the same ideas.

"Sinister" was pretty good.

 

"The Conjuring" looked like it was going to be great but was only half decent.

 

Saw somewhere that they're remaking "Poltergeist" (ugh).

I'm hoping this is good. I loved the Conjuring, personally. Had enough creepy vibe for me. Sinister was great as well.

I really want a truly original idea in the horror genre though. In any genre, it's tough to be original (since so many movies and plays have been written at this point), but I am REALLY getting tired of every horror movie being cheesy or shaky, hand-held camera footage with bad actors.

The 'found footage' stuff is way overdone at this point.

 

Most of the best horror movies of the past decade were, in my opinion, the remakes of Japanese flicks.

I had this idea for a scary movie about some college kids camping/having sex and this crazy guy kills them with an ax..

I almost forgot he only kills on Friday the 13th the day his pet turtle died.

I would pay to see that.

"I saw the devil" was pretty good. more thriller than horror it's a Korean film so of course it's getting an American remake.

serial killers, ghosts, vampires, wolfmen aren't scary to me. 

 

A good Frankenstiens monster movie always gets me tho, the problem with that is there hasn't been a good one in 80 years.
