Can hardy withdraw his appeal?

I do want him for the rest of the year after his trial tho if he's innocent

I would too, but I think that ship sailed.  Last I read, his lawyer seems to think his trial will be next year due to the backlog of cases.  If that's the case, we've seen the last of Hardy, unfortunately.

Which are all good points and I agree

But I dont have trust in the justice system, what happened to that when the judge found him guilty? Why didn't she take that into account? I look at it like this, pretty simple. Here you have a "black" football player who is already physical, against a white girl who does have injuries on her body and add to the fact that Hardy does own a collection of guns. The fact that there was an altercation which one witness can testify hearing it is all that matters. You the male, she's the female

That judge is a co-chair of a battered woman's project, and I don't think she's ever failed to find for the woman in cases like this.  When this went before the court, a lot of people were thinking that it would get thrown out, but even then there were people saying, "Hold on, look who the judge is" and that it would probably have to go to jury.

Me too.

They called the cops because they seemed to become frightened by her antics. They knew she was acting erratic and things would turn out bad for a black professional athlete with money against a white woman.

Based on the evidence I do think he restrained her, which in some states is considered enough to be domestic violence, but as you look at all the facts available, it is beyond obvious what went on here. She even harassed the guy by calling like 20 times after the police said no contact.

His manager is the one who restrained her--everyone agrees on that.  It's just another inconsistency, which is why Hardy will probably be found innocent.

I, personally, can't believe this is a topic of discussion.  There's a bigger picture here, and people are wanting Hardy to plead guilty so he can be back quicker is just dumb.  What if he really is guilty?  Do you really want that?  I know he's good, but damn...  this is a little ridiculous.

It's pretty much a closed case that he won't be back. All the embarrassment he has caused us.

If he's found innocent, there's more than a good chance he does stay around.  Especially if this causes his market value to decrease.

Sucks for Hardy, but that could be a silver lining to all of this.
